Les Baux de Provence and Glanum

The castle turrets of Les Baux de Provence can be seen from Villa la Pinede private woodlands . We are also just 10 minutes from Glanum- one of largest remains of a Roman town outside Italy.

Les Baux de Provence is one of the most visited places outside Paris and an early weekday visit advisable! We can take you the short 8-10 minute journey to Les Baux de Provence and pick you up later in the day. At the weekend in summer, you can see hundreds of parked cars twisting down the mountain road towards Maussane!

A visit to the Carrière de Lumière 300 metres from Les Baux de Provence is also on our tour and a good place to visit on a hot day! You need some warm clothing even in August as the ‘son et lumiere’ exposition is in a huge cathedral sized underground series of caverns. Each year there is a different light and sound show.

Out of the hot summer season, the Alpilles walks are open and no need to take the car if you are OK with a 2 hour walk. It is a much shorter time to walk back downhill!
